Being a
European I have to admit I slightly lost it when I first walked into Sephora.
It was like heaven's doors opened and gave me access to everything I can never have. It was quite the effort to limit
myself to what I really “needed” instead of buying everything I wanted. I did
make a list of the absolute necessary in advance so I wouldn’t black out and
spend all my traveling budget in one store.
On the top
of my list was the Kat von D ink liner in trooper. Nikkie has raved about this
forever and I felt like I desperately needed it in my life. I swatched it and had difficulties taking it off. Sold!
Second on
my list was the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow pomade in taupe. Saw it. Bought
it. Thank you. Done. I did want to get more products from Anastasia but when I saw
the prices I couldn’t justify it.
My list
read “anything from tarte”. I basically swatched everything they had and
decided on the tartelette palette because one can never have enough matte eye shadows.
Thanks to Fleure I also had to get the
lights, camera, lashes mascara. I haven't tried it yet because I am saving it for some special ocation. And for that it better be amazing!
Looking at all my new precious treasures I came to the conclusion that I was in need of some blush and decided to try two from Sephora ("Flirt it up" N°06 and "Sweet on you!" N°05) to stay on budget. Who am I kidding? Budget was a very expandable term at this point.

In CVS I thought
I would get some bargains. When I saw my receipt I knew I failed..
I have
never tried anything from elf and I thought a blush palette (in light) would
always come in handy. The colors are amazing and the color payoff really
impressed me. Only one of them is a little too glittery for me.
The only thing missing now was foundation. I originally wanted to get the Born This Way foundatoin from TooFaced but after taking a deep breath I managed to walk past it. In the end I decided to try the ready, set gorgeous foundation from
Covergirl. Thank you Rachel. I should probably mention I don't know any of these girls. I just love their YouTube channels.
This foundation really impressed me. It is the perfect shade, medium coverage and keeps me matte longer than most foundations.
I also got the Covergirl the super sizer mascara which I haven’t tried yet. I am a little skeptical about the wand. Honestly I thought it would have a different one. I must have blacked out...

Last but not least I went for skincare. What is a face of amazing new make up without a proper base? I got the Garnier moirture rescue gel-ceam because it is supposed to bea dupe for Clinique's moisture surge. We'll see about that. It has been on my need-to-try list for about two years now, I believe. Thanks again to Rachel I also needed to get the Olay regenerist luminous overnight mask. It was more expensive than expected btu I do live it an dwould definetly buy it again if I ever get the chance to.
If you actually got this far and read the entire post I would like to congratulate and thank you! Leave me a comment and let me know if you have ever tried any of these products or stuff I should put on my to-buy-list for the future. Preferably things you can get in Europe.
